I am so glad you stopped by my page! My goal in life is educate busy mom's on how to become the healthiest version of themselves.
I know how hard it is to fit exercise and good nutrition in when you are busy taking care of little ones or running to different sports events, but I am here to help you learn to fit a healthy lifestyle into your daily routine.
I love to use Pilates based fitness, hold community challenges, and teach you to eat a whole, well rounded nutritional plan that will not only get you to your goal, but will also help you to reach total wellness.
I offer private sessions and community programs! Let's talk and see if we are a good fit for each other!
As a mom of two really good kiddos, I struggle daily with organization, negativity and stress.
However, I've found that exercise and healthy chocolate treats help me to focus on having fun, feel less stressed and give me energy to keep up with the kids.
I believe that denying myself something sweet when I'm craving it, only reinforces those outdated ideals of depravity only in order to fit into society's picture of what women should look like, which have nothing to do with health.
For far too long, women have deprived themselves of what they truly want just to be able to "measure up" to impossible standards of the media's idea of beauty.
While discipline is vital in the overall picture of being healthy, you must achieve balance in order to truly thrive and keep yourself motivated.
It is better to have alternatives and substitutes for the junk food that way you are not stressed out. Because trying to use willpower alone will stress you out and in turn, increase the stress hormone cortisol.
This hormone tells the body, “Hey! She is stressed out…..she must be starving!” So cortisol tells the body to halt weightloss. It goes into starvation mode and because you feel so bad, it really just wants a zap of serotonin…..So you crave carbs! Your body also does this when it is sleep deprived (another form of stress). So take sleep seriously, because it seriously takes care of you.
Balance is achieved by setting real, attainable goals through discipline, and allowing yourself to be rewarded to sustain your motivation.
So, let's talk about those rewards...Did I mention that I love chocolate treats?
I've never been on a diet or deprived myself of cravings because I like to create substitutes for junk food. I’ve "been there, ate that" in the past and learned a lot along the way.
As a health & wellness coach, I've created many healthy treats and posted plenty of recipes from others that are made with delicious, whole ingredients. Zap those sugary cravings without the guilt!
The amazing thing about eating healthy food is that there are so many options when dining out and substitutes for ingredients when creating our own meals in the kitchen. We can truly decide to cut out foods that just don't serve our bodies.
When it comes to making healthier choices for your body, choosing meals that contain minimally processed ingredients is an important step in achieving total body wellness. I believe that nutrition is more about what we are eating and not about quantity.
My philosophy for healthy eating is this- if it has vitamins and fiber, then it is OK to eat.
Remember, wellness is built on 3 pillars: Healing movement, Healing food, and a Healing mindset.
